OC school attendance yesterday

From the OC Register:

Santa Ana Unified had 2,921
absences districtwide, about 5 percent of enrollment. The figures were
typical for a Monday, district spokeswoman Susan Brandt said.

 

Garden
Grove Unified reported absentee rates of nearly 10 percent at a handful
of schools with high concentrations of Latino students, district
spokesman Alan Trudell said.

 

Newport-Mesa Unified reported slightly higher absentee rates at Costa Mesa and Estancia high schools.

 

Anaheim Union had about double the usual number of absentees at all schools.

 

Absenteeism
in Orange Unified was at least double at Orange and El Modena highs and
four times the usual rate at Santiago Middle.

 

Tustin Unified had absences rise from 750 on an average day to 1,712 Monday.

 

Seven schools in Capistrano Unified had higher-than-normal absences.

 

Saddleback Valley Unified reported no discernable differences.
