Karl we support you

Wednesday, October 26th, 2005

"Karlrove I salute you Mr. President!" said Rove

"Thanks to you Mr. Architect!" said W.

I pray that Karl is spared any indictment. I know he did not break the law. Mrs. Wilson/ Valery Plame was not a covert CIA agent. As for Scooter and Dick Cheney, I hope they will be proved innocent too.

Let the left and MSM make sour faces today, I will make Lemon-aide! The special prosecutor went home for the day!

Iraqi Consitution

Hand_1

I’m happy the Iraqis have ratified their Constitution. Hardly any news about it in the MSM. I’m glad the vote was uneventful. Now I can see the Sunnis complaining about voter irregularity now! (Heh!)

Liberty and freedom will prosper in the Middle East. I hope other nations follow suit. Peace will come as people are free from tyrants and can vote in a democracy.

2000 and counting

Tuesday, October 25th, 2005

I’m dismayed at the liberal left and their celebration of 2000Th death in the war in Iraq. They want so desperately to have a milestone to pull the troops out of the "quagmire" in Iraq. I’m like many who are military family and  see the first death  just like the 2000Th death. All fought to serve their county, defend liberty and defeat the enemy. Each soldier did not die in vain and believe in the cause.

God Bless the troops and those brave souls who died fighting. We will remain fighting until the job is done.

Update on Local Terrorists

Tuesday, October 18th, 2005

Here is an article from the Jerusalem Post on those terrorists arrested in Fullerton around July 5th this year. I’m amazed I have to read about this in a paper from another country about something that happened about a mile from me! I’ll have to investigate this more…..

At least we have a trial date.

Today’s terror threats and Homeland Security

Tuesday, October 18th, 2005

The tunnels in Baltimore were closed today due to terror car bomb threat here.  They have reopened them. My trip back east in 2001 (before 9/11) we traveled under the Baltimore harbor tunnel and visited Fort McHenry.(HT LGF and readers).

Today Homeland Security  Secretary Michael Chertoff announced the immediate removal of caught "illegals" back to their homelands! I wonder how long it will take for the ACLU and all the discrimination suits to occur. (HT DrudgeReport) here. I’m glad the Bush Administration is finally taking this problem seriously! Thanks to the Minituemen, Mr. Gilcrest and Sean Hannity’s show.

W’s statement on Iraqi Vote

Monday, October 17th, 2005

On behalf of the American people, I’d like to congratulate the people of Iraq for the successful completion of a vote on their draft constitution. By all indications, the turnout was greater than the turnout from the last January election, which is good news. By all indications, the Sunnis participated in greater numbers in this election than last time. And that’s good news. After all, the purpose of a democracy is to make sure everybody is — participates in the process.

I’m also pleased, from the initial indications, that the level of violence was considerably less than the last election. That’s a tribute to the Iraqis — forces who we’ve trained, as well as coalition forces that worked hard to make sure that democracy could move forward in Iraq.

This is a very positive day for the Iraqis and, as well, for world peace. Democracies are peaceful countries. The vote today in Iraq stands in stark contrast to the attitudes and philosophy and strategy of al Qaeda and its terrorist friends and killers.

We believe, and the Iraqis believe, the best way forward is through the democratic process. Al Qaeda wants to use their violent ways to stop the march of democracy because democracy is the exact opposite of what they believe is right.

We’re making progress toward peace. We’re making progress toward an ally that will join us in the war on terror, that will prevent al Qaeda from establishing safe haven in Iraq, and a country that will serve as an example for others who aspire to live in freedom.

So, again, I congratulate the Iraqi people. I thank you for meeting this milestone. Thank you for doing what is right, to set the foundations for peace for future generations to come.

Appreciate it.

Mr. President, we do Appreciate it. Democracy is showing the Iraqis are deciding their fate. I’m amazed that the Iraqi voter turnout was 61%! We barely get 40% for an election in the US. Even the Sunni’s have joined the process. Voting will definitely decide who rules instead of terrorizing, raping and killing innocents.

Update: Iraq the Model has a great video of Iraqis dancing in the streets here.

Remember the USS Cole

Thursday, October 13th, 2005

Usscole

The fifth anniversary of the bombing of the USS Cole in Yemen was yesterday. Michelle Malkin has a wonderful post on the anniversary here. The bombing of the Cole was a sore point, the Clinton Administration did nothing at all! We were attacked and should have retaliated. From the Stars N Stripes article yesterday:

For the Cole’s sailors, it was tough not to retaliate, he said.

The Cole incident was one of a series of terrorist attacks in the 1990s that were not adequately answered by the United States, said Marc Genest, an associate professor of strategy and policy at the Naval War College.

“Measured responses against terrorist organizations are seen as a sign of weakness, not strength,” he said.

Genest said the overall lesson from the Cole is that not responding to terrorists’ attacks only emboldens them.

“The time to attack terrorists is at the very beginning of their strategy,” he said.

In the five years since the attack, the Navy has drawn other lessons from the Cole attack:

  • It has established mobile security forces that set up tight security perimeters around ships.
  • The number of masters at arms, who secure ships, has jumped from about 2,000 to 9,700 since the attack.
  • The Navy and law enforcement now share intelligence on possible terrorist threats.

If attacked we have to retaliate. We can’t be weak. We have to stay the course like our Commander-In-Chief has said. We have to be strong and defeat these islamo-facisits.

I thank God everyday for W and pray for our troops in victory over the War of Terror. The bombing of the Cole was a message and Clinton missed it badly. God Bless those who died in the bombing and thier families.

RIP Uncle Jack

Wednesday, October 12th, 2005

My Uncle Jack died last week and we just got back from the funeral. He was a true patroit and severed in the US Navy during WWII. He was very involved in his church and went on Missionary trips to Kenya and Africa. He was a true servant of the Lord. His misson on earth is over but his biggest one has begun. We will miss him very much. Rest in peace Uncle, we love you very much.

Jack Fergason Bradley, 82, of Visalia died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2005.

Jack was born in Long Beach, Calif., on Nov. 29, 1922 to Floyd and Helen Bradley. He was educated in Long Beach and served with the Marines transferring to the Navy when he was commissioned in 1942. He served in the Pacific Campaign during WWII. In 1942 he married Alice Rose Hall. After his completion of military duty he returned to University of California to complete a master’s degree. He began his teaching career in Redondo Beach, moving to Visalia in 1947 to assume the position as head of the mathematics department at Redwood High School where he taught for 36 years before his retirement.

Jack touched many people’s lives both as an educator and the ministries that he was so dedicated to through the Methodist Church to which he and Alice belonged. He worked with the choir, Sunday school, and youth groups. Because of his association through the Methodist Church, he was one of five men who founded Turning Point. He for many years had a Jail and Road Camp Ministry which was dear to his heart. He and Alice also participated in several foreign missionary trips to the Middle East, Japan, Kenya and England. His love was for the people and he choose to live and interact with the people he served.
